“  Beware of this servicer. I called and canceled by phone. Two bills later, they still haven't canceled my contract with them and increased the price by about 22 cents per kwh. ”

“  Have had my house 20 plus years always do Fixed, but somehow I ordered fixed but they signed me Variable, and i didn't catch it until six months in, wondering why my bill was averaging $50 a month higher, turns out they never honored the .079 cent rate instead jacked it up every month to 22 cent per kwh !!!! when the normal PECO rate was from 9 cents to 11 cents. Crazy Price Gouging!!! ”

“  My last summer bill was on around $280 and this year our bill went up to $540 and we have kept our air condition at the same temperature as last year. I have called their customer service and they said it takes two weeks to come back to us. Also, a matter of fact all my kids already went to college. We have less people at home using washer and dryer and air conditioner. We have been with them for many years for somehow their service and billings are getting worse. I am not sure I will renew the contract with them that is due soon ”

“  I had coverage for 8 days at 11.79. Then I got a letter from PPL saying direct energy cancelled. When I called Direct Energy they said up and down it was PPL but I had written proof it wasnt. Then I was told my name was wrong on the account which is untrue. I was told the ONLY way I could keep them was to re-sign up at a higher rate. Please beware of this. PPL is cheaper than the rate I was offered. Its not even worth the time. Go with literally anyone else. ”

“  They did not notify me that the cost of my power was going by 212% after my last billing period concluded. They spam me with electronic and physical mail for their rewards website which is loaded with crappy deals and privacy data harvesting cookies.

They claim that you must contact them directly before transferring service to another supply company which is a poorly obfuscated scam tactic.

Ive rotate supply companies as needed the last 5 years because I understand energy supply costs are dynamic and providers typically raise their price when their costs go up but this is the first company of the 5-6 that Ived used I that operate scam tactics. STAY AWAY. ”

“  The did a bait and switch, drawing me in with a promotional rate of 2.78. After, it went up to 17.12 where consumers cost is 3.27. When you realize what they did and go to cancel, it takes 2 billing cycles which pretty much means, 3 more months of their price gauging fees. I will stay away from this company like the plague. ”
