National Grief is more like it......

  So, after some power outages in the last few years, it seems national griefs solution is to cut every tree down in our area within distance of transmission lines. Thing is, they cut all the healthy trees down, and left the dead and dying ones. They finished a couple weeks ago and guess what? powers out again tonight 9/6/25, only they came and fixed quickly as they know they look terrible. National Grief is the worst !!!!!!

  Signed up with direct energy in January 2025 over the phone. Received my contract in the mail, but they never followed through. I contacted them and have simply asked them to honor my contract. I called on April 21 and sent direct energy a copy of the contract. One month later they still have not honored the contract.

Broken Promise and attempts to repeat if I renew

  Smart Energy called me and offered me a $200 gift card if I stayed with the company at least six months. At the six month bill I sent it to the company showing Smart Energy as my supplier as I was asked to do. I never received the $200 gift card. Fast-forward to six months later when its time to renew, I called the company to inquire about upcoming rates. The service rep immediately looked at my account and said oh I see you havent got your $200 gift card. Then he said they would process the $200 gift card if I renew with the company. I flat out refused and told him I would not do business with a company who does not respect their customers enough to keep the promises they made. This was a very disappointing and underhanded interaction with smart energy. In addition they raised my rate during the contract. I will report this to PUCO. This unjust behavior needs to be exposed.

  Beware of this servicer. I called and canceled by phone. Two bills later, they still haven't canceled my contract with them and increased the price by about 22 cents per kwh.

Screwed me over

  Have had my house 20 plus years always do Fixed, but somehow I ordered fixed but they signed me Variable, and i didn't catch it until six months in, wondering why my bill was averaging $50 a month higher, turns out they never honored the .079 cent rate instead jacked it up every month to 22 cent per kwh !!!! when the normal PECO rate was from 9 cents to 11 cents. Crazy Price Gouging!!!
