Good customer service experience
| We had a service outage in the middle of the night here in Cape Cod and I called the 800 number for Eversource - first I had a virtual assistant message and then had the choice to connect to a live rep- it took only seconds to connect and she was extremely courteous and happy to help - I also received follow up updates from a virtual assistant but power was restored timely- I know you hear complaints often but I feel compelled to point out the good service and such a nice customer service rep that helped me - I am very happy with the results and appreciate the good service | |||

Inconsistent information during catastrophic storm
| Weve been tracking the outages on Cape Cod specifically in Centerville. The updates are inconsistent. One update showed restored yesterday. One shows restored today the 25th and another shows restored late Friday. My wife received a text message saying there were no outages in the area at this address given the technology and specifically AI I dont know how the information can be this inconsistent. | |||

It shouldn't be this difficult
| Had a shutoff notice, due to falling on hard times. Though I was able to set up a payment plan if was unable to process payment, and when I went to try and pay I got disconnected and tried to do it online, theres no pay prompt button, and so I tried guest payment and wouldn't accept payment because it was greater than 600. System keeps glitching, been disconnected twice after being on hold for 2 damn hours, and on hold 3rd time for almost an hour. Eversource is horrible! | |||

Cannot reach a person to talk to about stopping a service due to house sale
| Several family members have waited on the phone for many hours, to have to give up and try again. We are trying to help an elderly family member stop his service due to his house being sold. He doesnt remember his account number, we cant access his account online because of that and our only option is to keep waiting on the phone for a representative to answer. It is extremely frustrating. At this point I have been on hold for 33 minutes and still waiting. | |||

This type of company should not exist.
| What is the point of even offering a customer support phone number if you can never get in touch with a real customer support representative? I have called 15+ times and not once have I been connected with a real agent. I have waited in line for hours and stood by waiting for a call back that never came. My building was renovated recently and apartment numbers changed, and still months later Eversource has yet to update apartment numbers (leaving me unable to register for utility payments). Genuinely convinced that Eversource's customer support department is a single monkey wearing a straitjacket. Legitimately appalled that a company like this is able to exist in this day and age. Pick up the damn phone and let me give you my money. | |||

I was tripple charge for a bill then charge to get my own money back
| I tried to pay a bill online and the website was not working. I then called to pay over the phone. On the phone, they told me no payment had gone through and I would not be charged except for the one charge I would be making over the phone to pay my bill. I was then charge three times my bill amount. I did get back the money for the over charge however Eversource charged me $20 ($10 for each over charge) to get my own money back. When I called to fix this issue I was told there was nothing they could do. So I ended up getting triple charged for one bill then charged again to get my own money back. Eversource is an awful company that can not manage their own customer's bills and accounts and borders on illegal practice of charging customers to get their own money back wrongfully taken out of their accounts. | |||

Really bad Customer service
|
My service was disconnected this morning. I received disconnection notice after disconnected We had a death in the family in May. I missed my payment. I received the disconnect letter after service was shut off for $194.36.
I paid my entire bill. I was then told this will take 24 hours to be reconnected. Eversource has already taken money from my account. Still insisted this was policy!!! If you plan on continuing your outrageous service and delivery charges we certainly deserve human decency! |

Expensive utilities bad costumer service
| Had to spend a week trying to activate electricity in my new apartment. They could not find the correct address I had to find out the last name of the last tenant yo be able to find the apart that sits in a major street. Unknown to me I had about 100 dollars owed to eversource, they sent it to a collection agency who emailed me. I paid the debt in full 2 weeks later I call up to ask about it, it still shows I owe the debt. Very RUDE women answering those calls, they don't listen and talk over you when you're trying to explain your situation, eversource is worst thab dealing with cable, they are expensive and their costumer service SUCKS | |||

Bad costumer service over the phone
| I was on the phone for way to long and the customer service agent was unable to explain an additional bill that was added to my account in a simple easy-to-follow way and kept changing what they were saying. Very frustrating. Said at one point that I hadn't paid my bill on time when I had. Overall not a great experience. | |||

Terrible service
| I tried to set up an account, they gave me an account number. When I tried to make my payments, they said that the account number was invalid. I waited on the phone for hours, for multiple days. Not a single customer service person helped me, all of them redirected to another number which made me wait for an hour again. They have the worst customer service and operational procedure I have ever seen. Trying to pay my electricity bills should not be this hard. No one helped me and I still could not pay my bills nor open an account that is in service. They are threatening to cut my electricity off but also not helping in any way. | |||

| I tried to establish a natural gas account in Worcester, MA with eversource. The phone numbers lead to a virtual AI to direct your call. Seven people down the road, I am still told, " I am sorry I cannot help you with establishing your account, let me connect you with the correct person." Never made it to the correct person. Still on hold 2 hours of time thus far... | |||

Unprofessional and horrible work ethic
| Eversource upgraded my gas meter and following the "upgrade" my water heater doesn't work. The workers clearly had never worked on a tankless water heater before, didn't have anyone more experienced to advise them and had no idea how their property damage claims system would work. Additionally, they were rude/juvenile and were playing something like Red Rover with my trash bins before their work day had started. Yikes! | |||
